Following the latest Government Guidance for restaurants we have put in place measures advised by Public Health England. We have put in place provision for you the scan the QR Code from the Covid-19 NHS test and Trace app. If you enter a venue (for example, a shop, restaurant, religious centre or sports stadium) that has an official NHS COVID-19 QR code poster at the entrance, you should scan it with your app. The NHS Covid-19 Test and Trace app can be download from covid19.nhs.uk. Aurum Restaurant and Bar

A face covering must be worn when entering the Restaurant and Bar and can only be removed once seated at a table. Please note, once seated, we are unable to allow guest to move tables. Rule 6 will apply.

We are operating a Table Service only and therefore if no tables are vacant in the bar, we ask that guests order drinks to their room using room service. (A 10% service charge will apply). At no time can guests order drinks standing at the bar.

Aurum Restaurant will be serving an A la Carte menu from Thursday to Saturday from 12:00 midday and to be able to adhere to our legal obligations, we will take last orders at 20:30 and all guests dining in the Restaurant and Bar will be asked to leave shortly before 22:00.  We offer a Sunday Roast which begins at midday until last orders at 18:15.

Bar facilities are available for in house guests in guest rooms only after 10.00 pm.

Please note that any drinks or food that you have during your stay must be paid for at the time of your order.  We are unable to allow anything to be charged to your room.


Employee Safety Initiatives

We want to reassure all of our guests at the Seven Hotel that all of our employees will undergo comprehensive health & safety training to maintain our high standards.  All necessary PPE equipment will be provided to our staff and we will be checking the temperatures of our staff on a regular basis to minimise the risk of infection.

We will continue to review all of the procedures frequently and align with the Government guidelines.

Finally, we would like to say thank you to all of our guests who have stayed with us previously and new guests who we look forward to meeting very soon in the future.  We appreciate your continued support and we very much look forward to staying safe with you in the weeks and months ahead.


Arrival & Check In

As you arrive at the hotel, there will be a number of signs to adhere to the social distancing measures provided by the Government. We will also be using your contact details for the Government Track & Trace programme.  We are at liberty to hold your details for 3 weeks to comply with this government request. All guests who enter the hotel will have to wear a face covering when moving around the hotel or will be asked to leave. You will see that all of our staff will be wearing face masks or face shields. We politely ask for guests to stick to the directional floor signs and queuing with the appropriate distance. Protective screens will be used at guest and employee contact points for safer check-in. Throughout the hotel there will be sanitising stations and we ask that these are used as frequently as possible.  We encourage guests who are staying with us at the Seven Hotel to use the bathrooms in your bedrooms when possible to reduce congestion.

Please ensure that all your special requirements are requested in advance i.e. non feather pillows, twin beds, extra beds, baby cots etc. It will be difficult to accommodate additional requests on arrival as staff will not be allowed to access your room once you have checked in.


Room Service & Breakfast

Aurum Restaurant is open from 12 midday every day. The menu in Aurum is also available for guests to order as room service. This menu is available until 9.30 pm daily with the exception of Sunday when the Sunday menu is only available until 6.15 pm. Outside of these hours there is a limited room service menu available. Please check with the reception or restaurant team for more details. All of our menus are on our website.

In order to protect the safety of our guests and employees there will be Continental Breakfast only available from Monday – Friday which will be delivered to your room and left outside of your door.  This will be pastries/cereals/breads and jams. Tea and coffee making facilities are available in each room.  Hot Breakfast only is available on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 07:30 am until last orders at 10:15 am. The continental breakfast is £8 per person and you will need to let the reception staff know on check in if you require this for the next morning.

Bar facilities are available for in house guests in guest rooms only after 10.00 pm.


During Your Stay

At this time, staff will not be able to access guest’s bedrooms. Our Housekeeping team will deep clean all rooms before arrival as per government guidelines, but for our guests staying more than one night, their room will not be serviced. Should additional amenities and/or fresh towels be needed, they can be requested by calling the reception desk. Staff will wash/sanitise their hands before delivering fresh items which will be left outside the room.

Our Polyester linen are laundered at 60c, dried at 55c and ironed between 180c-210c. For Cotton linen, they are laundered at 60c, dried 65c and ironed between 180c-210c.

All guest will have to adhere to the one-way system using the floor markings and are encouraged to wash their hands regularly. Hand sanitisers are placed in the public areas of the hotel which can be used by all guests.

We encourage guests who are staying with us at the Seven Hotel to use the bathrooms in your bedrooms when possible to reduce congestion.

We politely ask guests to refrain from socialising with other guests during their stay. During your stay Rule 6 will apply which means that no more than 6 people can be gathered around any table at any one time. Failure to adhere to this rule will result in you being asked to leave the premises.


Check Out

To minimise contact, we kindly ask that you telephone reception from your room to inform them that you are checking out.  Any keys should be left in the room on checkout. An invoice of your stay can be emailed and will be charged to the credit or debit card provided for authorisation. Please use the hand sanitisers before leaving the hotel.
